What is a sandwich? It's a simple kind of food consisting of two bread slices and the ingredients added between these bread slices. Sandwich ingredients may include a variety of items like vegetables, cheese, mayonnaise, sauces, fried egg, boiled egg, scrambled egg, egg omelet, chicken/meat slices, cucumber, tomatoes, mushrooms, paneer, and so on. The list might never end. You can add whatever you like between those two bread slices and enjoy a quick and easy meal on the go.

Ingredients checklist:
  1. Bread slices (White/Brown)
  2. Eggs
  3. sandwich spread (optional)
  4. tomato ketchup
  5. Cheese
  6. Sauces of your choice (Mustard, Mayonnaise, Schezwan, etc)
  7. Vegetables - Tomatoes, onions, capsicum
  8. Butter (or cooking oil)
  9. Garlic (optional)
Procedure:
  1. Break two eggs in a bowl. Add some chopped onions, green chilies, masala powder, and beat the mixture well.
  2. Heat an omelet pan and add a small butter cube. Let the butter melt completely and then add the beaten eggs mixture to the pan.
  3. Let the omelet cook well for 2-3 minutes and transfer the cooked omelet to a dish.
  4. (Optional) Take around 15 garlic cloves and beat them well till they are finely crushed. Heat a little oil in a pan and saute this crushed garlic for a minute. Remove the garlic from the pan and place it in a dish.
  5. Now slice the vegetables like tomatoes, onions, capsicum into thin circular disks or rings. Also,  Grate the cheese over a grater or you may use the diced cheese available in the market.
  6. Now grab a couple of bread slices and apply the sandwich spread over them on one side. Now, Place the cooked omelet over that bread slice and place the sliced vegetables over the omelet. Sprinkle some salt to taste and masala powder. You may also sprinkle some red chili powder if you like your sandwich to be spicy.
  7. Now place the two cheese slices over the vegetables and other ingredients in a sandwich and cover this with another slice of bread. Now, you may spread some different sauces to this slice of bread or you may leave it alone, it is completely up to you. I like the taste of garlic so I used a garlic paste on this bread we made in step 4.
  8. Now, our sandwich is ready to be cooked or grilled. You may use an electric grill to grill your sandwich or you may toast it in a pan as well. I don't have an electric grill, so I have used a pan instead.
  9. Heat a pan for a bit and add some butter to it. Let the butter melt for a moment. And next, Place your sandwich in the pan. Now press the sandwich a bit with a dish or pan cover and let it toast for 2-3 minutes with the pan closed with a lid.
  10. Once the lower bread is turned golden brown, turn the sandwich upside down and let it toast for another 2-3 minutes. You may add a little butter again after turning the sandwich upside down.
  11. Let the sandwich toast well and let the cheese slice melt completely. Once this opposite side bread is turned golden brown, you may remove the sandwich. And if you feel the cheese is not melted well yet, you can repeat the process again for another couple of minutes.
  12. Alright, now the bread is well toasted and cheese melted thoroughly. Congratulations, your sandwich is ready to be served.
  13. Serve the sandwich hot with tomato ketchup, mint chutney, mustard sauce, mayonnaise, or any side dip of your choice, and enjoy your quick delicious meal.

Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani

"Biryani", a word is enough to make you hungry and crave for it the next moment. What comes to your mind when you hear or say the word biryani? Don't you think of the flavorful aroma, the super fluffy long-grain rice, the masala rice covered in a lot of flavorful spices, and the most important, the extra juicy, spicy, and super tender mutton pieces all wrapped up in the rich coat of Indian spices. Even writing this description is making me hungry for a biryani.            Photo credit:   Indian Desi Kitchen Biryani could be the most pleasing among non-veg lovers. For a best and tendered meat biryani, you need to look for certain things like you need to select the proper meat (with proper I mean you should select the tender meat from a young goat/lamb and preferably some pieces with bones because the bones juices have the most flavor). Once the selections is done, it also depends on the proper m arination  and right cooking technique. Do you know ...

Dry fish fry

Fish fry is a super easy dish and required basic elementary cooking techniques. Fish fry can be as simple as dipping the fish in the batter and frying it right away. This crispy, spicy and super delicious dish is a blast of different flavors like Indian spices and the awesome taste of the fish. This super crispy fish goes well with the rice (maybe simply steamed or fried rice or jeera rice) and a mild gravy (rasam).  Fried fish could also be served with a plain salad like cabbage, onions, spring onions, and a few drops of lemon could take the taste to the next level. It can even be served along with a couple of chutneys like mint-coriander chutney, spicy red tomato chutney, or simply tomato ketchup would suffice for that matter.  This dish is so versatile that it can be served in various forms and on different occasions. Fried fish can be served as snacks for the kids too or it can be served as a special dish to the guests as well along with some side dips. This is one of the ...

Bhindi (Okra/Ladies' finger) Masala

Bhindi masala is one of the most common Indian dishes which is equally scrumptious and healthy as well. It is mildly spicy with a blast of flavors. This simple dish is made of some common ingred ients easily found in any Indian kitchen like bhindi (with no doubt ;) ), onions, sun-dried red chilies, tomatoes, and some regular Indian spices. The detailed recipe is elucidated below, so don't worry I have mentioned every single ingredient there.   Bhindi Masala fry can be served in lunch as well as dinner. And it goes really well with roti/chapati, Jowar (Sorgulam) roti, or rice. Even man y kids have a soft spot for bhindi (including me too when I was a kid) and demands this mouth-watering dish to be packed in their school tiffin boxes. And since bhindi is a healthy veggie and has added health benefits, Indian moms don't usually reject such demands unless bhindi is not available in their refrigerator. I remember when I was a kid I was getting bhindi almost once a weak in my tiffin...
